This is our journey to realize a future of work that embraces and uplifts the creative class. This is whereArt.Works

Phase I

The genesis for whereArt.Works began with our founder, Justin, and a rust-belt city on the decline. Witnessing firsthand how technology was usurping traditional industries, he wasn’t ready to accept the bleak, potential future ahead. Instead, it compelled him to search for a place where the creative human spirit could flourish

Phase II

Justin spent the first few years of his career working with artists and immersing himself in new-economy roles that were beginning to embrace creativity. After founding a non-profit that worked with artists to showcase and support their talent and building global experience through research + traveling, he was exposed to alternate future of work scenarios that he believed could change the global narrative on the future of work.

Phase III

whereArt.works became a thesis that is the culmination of all this research and experience so far. It became a lab for exploring new ways of approaching work and looking for human capital and human potential around the world. Justin spent time as a documentary researcher understanding the future of work through the lens of entrepreneurship in rural America to the high-tech visions of new-age Estonia. He hosted artists residencies, built agency models for connecting artists with local businesses, and began to realize that artists globally just lacked the agency / boost to take themselves to the next level.

This brings us to whereArt.works capital. We’ve developed this vision through years of research and believe that artists and teams can take themselves to the next level with an investment in their creative capital.

This fund is at it’s early stages, but we’re already seeing signs of success at a micro-scale

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
